I did it. I ate fast food today. It was the first time I’ve had it in several months and it just didn’t taste good. The best thing about it was the root bear and I didn’t even finish that. It didn’t make me sick. It was just gross tasting. I had a few chicken nuggets and some french fries and I’m not going to have it again unless I absolutely have no other option. I was hungry coming home from the doctor and I haven’t been feeling well so I figured I would stop and get something to eat. It was a bad plan, I should have just come home and eaten something more healthy. I’m glad though that I had it, because now I know I’m not missing anything. It makes me more conscious of growing and eating my own food and realizing it is the best way to go.
I’m excited about planting the garden this year. We will fill our raised beds an then we are going to till down by the creek. I have plans for a large garden. I’m pretty sure I’m going to plant the following things: Amish Snap Peas, broccoli raab, Swiss chard, lettuce multiple kinds of lettuce, a variety of herbs, bunching onions, cabbage, a few types of beans, eggplant, zucchini, sweet peppers, yellow squash, two Winter squash, brussels sprouts, and maybe even broccoli. We will plant tomatoes at Grandpa’s with Mom and Dad. It makes it a little bit more manageable. Most of the seeds that I have gotten our heirloom. Seth and I are also going to get blackberries, cherry trees, blueberries, strawberries, maybe a plum tree, and maybe an apple tree. And hopefully my horseradish survived. I’d like to hear about other people’s gardens. What are you growing this year?
As a side note, please remember that I’m using Dragon Naturally Speaking to dictate this blog. If there are errors I apologize as the program is still learning to understand my voice.
